89.1 FM "The Wood"
The "2006 Best of St. Louis" issue of The Riverfront Times praised 89.1FM "The Wood" as the Best Radio Station in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.

"...St. Louis is lucky to have our own version of satellite radio on the terrestrial airwaves, courtesy of the station run by students at Lindenwood University in St. Charles." ---RFT

Lindenwood University’s KCLC - FM is a state-of-the-art, student-run, 35,500-watt, digitally mastered FM radio station that plays a great selection of music 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

For close to 60 years "THE WOOD" has served as a training ground for the next generation of broadcast professionals. The students you hear bringing you great music, news, sports, and specialty programs leave Lindenwood with four years of hands-ons experience at a level not normally found at schools with more traditional programs.

If you'd like for information about the Lindenwood communications department in general, and the role "THE WOOD" plays in academic training for future media professionals, contact program administrator Mike Wall by or by phone at (636) 949-4880.

"THE WOOD" also features a number of dedicated community volunteers that bring you specialty programs on the weekends. See the right side for a list of program times and descriptions.
